Deadbolt locks are designed to prevent entry into a building. These are commonly used in homes and businesses. A deadbolt lock has a bolt that slides back and forth from side to side. When locked, the bolt extends outwards preventing anyone from entering. Lever handles are similar to the deadbolts but they have a lever instead of a bolt. The lever is pushed towards the inside of the door to unlock the door. Then, the lever is pulled outwards to allow access. Knob handles are small round buttons that are attached to the outside of a door frame. They typically only work if someone pushes directly against them. Tumbler locks are designed to prevent people from opening a door that has been locked shut. To do this, the tumblers are set inside the lock casing. Each tumbler has a unique number and when the correct combination is entered, the tumblers line up and unlock the door.
